New Things I Learned Today

Something I knew: 

My dad was a twin, but his twin passed away. I couldn’t remember, but I thought he died in my grandma’s stomach.

The new things I learned today:

My dad’s twin didn’t die in my grandma’s stomach, the communists killed him. In my dad’s siblings, I have a 5th uncle and a 6th uncle and they were twins! My 6th uncle passed away due to sickness and my 5th uncle is a doctor. My 11th uncle committed suicide because one of his kids disappointed him. 

It’s sad hearing about all of these deaths, but I’m glad to learn more about my dad’s family. It must hurt him to have many siblings pass away. A long time ago when I found out that my dad was a twin, I always looked at him and thought “man, 9th uncle looks just like dad. Amazing.” Tammy reminded me that the twin gene is in my family, so I have the possibility of having twins!! :D:D:D:D

Talking to my half brother about our family (on dad’s side) makes me think about how I wish that I could meet the other 5 siblings. My brother Cuong and my sister Bich Ngan are the only two that I know of. Although my dad was a player, I’m grateful that he had my brother. :] I know my brother doesn’t hold a grudge against him or anything either and that’s really inspiring.(:♥ I love how my family is so big, but I hate how I don’t know most of them :c I’m grateful that I know my mom’s children though :]♥
